Our suggestion

Video works well

A video consult suits this.

The doctor reviews your progress, checks how you move on camera and updates your plan.

How it works

Six steps, from booking to plan.

The same care as a clinic visit, done on camera. If you need to be examined in person, the doctor will say so.

  1. 01

    Book and choose "Video consult"

Online or on WhatsApp. We confirm your time by phone or WhatsApp.

  2. 02

    Share your reports

Scans, discharge summary and your list of medicines, before the call.

  3. 03

    Confirm who you are

A quick identity check at the start of the call.

    Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, India
  4. 04

    Talk and move

The doctor asks about your problem and may ask you to walk, bend or lift your arm on camera.

  5. 05

    Your plan

Advice, home exercises and, where allowed, a prescription sent to you digitally.

  6. 06

    Next step

A follow-up video consult, or a clinic visit if you need an examination or a procedure.

Get ready

Set up before the call.

A little set-up means the doctor sees how you move, not just your face.

A video consult can

Talk, watch and plan.

  • Give first advice and review your scans and reports
  • Watch how you walk, bend and lift on camera
  • Set and update a home exercise programme
  • Answer a family's questions after a stroke

Replace a hands-on exam.

  • Some problems need a hands-on examination, scans or a procedure
  • The doctor will tell you honestly if a video consult is not enough
  • Never for emergencies: call 108 or 112

Questions

Before you call.

Short answers to what people ask most about video consults.

Is a video consult as good as a clinic visit?

For many follow-ups and first advice, yes. The doctor can see how you move and talk through your reports. For a first assessment of a new injury, a nerve problem or before any procedure, an in-person examination is usually needed, and the doctor will say so.

Can the doctor prescribe medicines by video?

The doctor can prescribe some medicines on a video consult, within India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020. Some medicines cannot be prescribed online. Your prescription is sent to you digitally after the call.

Can a family member join?

Yes. A family member or carer can join, and must join for a child or for an adult who needs help to communicate. Tell us their name when you book.

What if the call drops?

The doctor will call you back on the number you booked with.

Is my video consult private?

Yes. Your reports are used only for your care, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
